Good News for Warren Buffett

Caiaphas the high priest looked at Jesus and asked, “Tell us, are you the Christ, the son of the living God?” Up until then, Jesus had remained silent during the false accusations against him; however, this was a question he had to respond to. He knew that by answering this question, his death would be imminent. To this, Jesus responded, “Yes”. And with this definitive answer, Jesus plainly declared his character and mission.

Matthew 10:32 says, “Whoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven”. It seems that the prevailing culture around us is to openly accept and respect those who do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God. After all, we can't judge someone's belief. Personally, I believe we should never pass up an opportunity to declare that Jesus is the Son of God who died for our sins. Without Jesus, there is no eternal life. We can never be good enough to save ourselves. In fact, the Bible says that our good works are like filthy rags.

Yesterday, the Denver Post quoted billionaire Warren Buffett saying, “There is more than one way to get to heaven, but this is a great way.” He made this quote shortly after giving away several billion dollars to charity. Warren , if you're reading this article; please know that you can't buy your way into heaven. In fact, I've got some great news for you – it's a free gift, you just need to acknowledge and accept what Jesus did for you on the cross.

Some day Jesus will come rolling in on the clouds sitting on the right side of God. At that time, everyone will be judged. Every hidden secret will be unveiled. In fact, everyone who does not accept Jesus will be judged by their own works. I don't care if your Mother Teresa or Warren Buffet, you will fall short unless you have accepted Jesus' perfect life and sacrifice. If you do this, when it comes time for you to be judged, God will see Jesus' perfect life when reviewing your record and you will be saved. It's that simple. Thank you Jesus – please cover my filthy rags with your blood.
